Christmas Tree Craft

These little trees were all the rage in the 60's. I've been collecting vintage earrings to make one. They are a bit on the funky side but a fun craft to make with those missing or broken earrings. Merry Christmas to you today. Join the fun http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ Thanks to doecdoe for photos. http://www.doecdoe.blogspot.com/ She found this tree at a thrift store for a great price $12.

I love these things. I have vintage Christmas trees and boxes done like this. The framed pieces are usually out of my price range, but I think they are tres cool. You could probably sell them as fast as you could make them! Debbie

Hi Denise , What a great find and a great friend! I remember my mom-in-law making some of these in the early 70's , too. I wonder where they went to? Sue

Oh! I remember these! Everyone thought it was the perfect solution to what to do with all that junk costume jewelry from the past. I loved them.

Oh my gosh! My mother made one of these when I was a kid, and I thought it was the only one. I've always loved it, she still hangs it every year (she is 88).
