Trash Talking and Shop Talking-Love Is In The Air

Y'all, I'm in love and Cat Daddy knows all about it! There are no secrets between us, in fact he took me this weekend for my first rendezvous with my new love. He drove Miss Lazy to North Richland Hills to visit Golightly's Gallery & Antiques and for me it was love at first sight. Before you feel too sorry for him, let me add he was pretty impressed as well. The store is just beautiful! Wonderful merchandise, both old and new, gorgeous displays, friendly ladies eager to help you in your purchases. Everything you would want an antique shopping experience to be.
Oh and the displays were in three words...Fab U Lous!!! If you don't come away with ideas on how to put the oomph back into your home, well you must have left your glasses at home. The walls themselves talk to you. Everywhere you look, there is a visual treat for the eyes.

I should have packed a bag because I could have stayed just in this area forever! I wonder if room service comes with this bed, because a girl sure would feel pampered in a bedroom like this.

This sofa was to die for! It's one of the first things you see when you come in the front door. Look at the walls...mmm, yummy!

I saw so much I wanted to purchase and I did buy a few things. I'll give y'all a look at my loot in a later post. Did I mention I'm in love?

This area was in the bathroom! Not an inch of space is wasted in this delightful store. Got several ideas for my own bath just from this tiny room. I swear up and down, you'll come away with something, even if it is an idea to take home. All their fabric treatments are clever. The store is very tactile, inviting you to touch and feel. Believe me, I did. Oh and by the way, there is fabric for sale as well.

Stormy weather ahead? No problem...let your smile be your umbrella. You will be smiling a lot perusing all that is offered here.

For the lovers of cream and white this store abounds with it. There is also browns used in abundance with black thrown in for that dramatic punch.
There is a tea room located in Golightly's, but I couldn't get a photo of it because it was packed. You never heard such laughter! This store has really got it going on and I invite you to visit the next time you are in the Ft. Worth area. I promise y'all, you won't be disappointed. Until next time, Debbie

  3. Oh No! I'm stuck here in Ohio. Wish they'd hurry up and invent a working teleporter. It looks wonderful. I had a 'for pete's sake moment' looking at your umbrella pic. I remember those umbrella's from the late 60's early 70's. They were clear so the umbrella went over your head and shoulders and you could see right thru. For a 9-12 year old it went down to your knee's practically. How to explain the handle tripped you. Thanks for the walk thru!

  4. You know, maybe this idea of blogging about vintage isn't such a good idea after all- it's like being an alcoholic in a bar or something!! Great shop :)

  6. Many hugs and kisses and a ton of thanks for your wonderful write-up on Golightlys Gallery. I have been a dealer there for several years and have to say that it is a wonderful place to visit, relax and take a deep breath. The store changes every week to keep us ladies from getting bored. Hmmmm... can we do that with our men? Tata for now...Tiina...

  13. Thank you Debbie for your wonderful comments about our shop. And you took a picture of my space, the one with the umbrella (which is no longer there, wasn't there for long).
I met you and your husband and we had a nice little conversation. I'm Penny, I was the cashier that day.
Hope to see you again soon!
    God bless
